Beloit Health System Awarded With 2014 Community Contributor Award


Beloit Health System awarded with the great honor of being named the 2014 Community Contributor Award by the Zonta Club of Beloit. This award was presented to Tim McKevett at Beloit Health System annual meeting.


BeloitHealth System believes in making our community a better, healthier place for us all to thrive. Beloit Health System has over 1500 employees and physicians who interact with our community on a daily basis, whether this interaction is within the walls of our facilities, or in the community where they live. Employees are also encouraged to be involved in the community through service and advocacy, As a team member. They do this to make our stateline area a better place to raise their families. 

Here is a very few examples include; counsels students after a student crisis or school event; organizes a fundraising team for the annual Cancer Relay of Life to raise funds for research and cancer care; hosts complimentary education events to educate and promote healthy living;provides free birth preparation and new parents classes to those bringing babies into the world; sponsors the first annual “Music and More” outdoor concert promoting a health focus, and provides scholarships for those wishing to continue their education in healthcare (for high school seniors and current nurses)



The Health System encourages employee competition in the form of collecting non-perishable food for Caritas During Nurse’s Week, every year. This all-employee food drive has been one of the largest for Caritas which help donation to reaches a total of about 7,500 food items each year and who feeds our local hungry.

Three athletic trainers who donate their expertise to six area high schools for sports safety and sideline supervision employs by The health system. To promote good parenting, crisis intervention and student counseling after a tragedy, sports physicals and more Beloit Health System provides health speakers For the local schools. Also provides support for national health recognition weeks including February Heart Month, Breast Cancer awareness, National Nutrition Week and many more. To educate the public and encourage a healthy living style and to promote prevention of disease many health programs, fairs, speakers, and activities are held by The Beloit Health system for the greater Beloit community free of charge.

The health system employees not only financially support the United Way as a pacesetter, but also volunteer in the “Day of Caring” by taking vacation hours in an effort to support the stateline community. The Stateline Boys and Girls Club recently awarded Beloit Health System and NorthPointe the “Champions of Youth” award for the free services we provide youth in the area including a Kids Health Day.

Our mission is to be the leader in regional health and wellness while delivering value and satisfaction to our community. Beloit Health System is honored to be such an integral part of our community. Providing health awareness, promoting safety, and caring for our residents is a priority in accomplishing this mission.
